In 2012 Nike launched the first Flyknit shoe, which was a big hit during the London Olympics. Over the years have increasingly investigated the possibility of making a shoe by relying on knitted uppers as their seamless design radically reduces material waste while enabling faster manufacturing.

Billions of sports shoes hit the market each year and big brands are constantly looking for innovative materials to differentiate their products. Shoe factories, on the other hand, primarily need stable, high-quality yarns that are suitable for mass production and high-speed manufacturing technologies.

We developed a unique, TPU coated yarn with the ability to mix different high tenacity, flame retardant, and stretch that offer hard-wearing performance and versatile design options.

With our advanced TPU coating yarn, footwear manufacturers can use one versatile material during production to help simplify the process, therefore using less energy. Footwear composed of 100% TPU also enables the regrind to be repurposed at the end of its life cycle.
